New altered bottle caps and ATC's

I've recently made some new altered bottle caps:

 

So the left one in the left picture has one of my friends her name on it. The letters are stamped and heat embossed. Than I also added 3 gemstones to it. 

The right one in the left picture as a background made out of paper from an old book. Then I've put an old English postage stamp in it and embellished it with gemstones. 

The top bottle caps are meant to clip onto the earrings (See former post). The background paper is blue with white dots and the flowers were embossed onto it. Finally I've put a pearl in the center of each flower.

So, these were my initial/ basic attempts to make altered bottle caps. While making them I came up with some new and better ideas! I already got my supplies for the new attempts and will tell you all about it when I show you the results in one of my latter posts.

So, for ATCs; since the second Postage Stamps ATC swap on swap-bot has started I made A third Postage Stamp ATC swap, this time on China. You can see all the swaps on the swap webpage:

Finally, I also wanted to add that I've updated the homepage for the 'My Pet ATC swap' Which I have hosted on Swap-bot. The nice thing is that a lot of people have sent me a picture of their ATC's so I could make a collage of them on the homepage. I will definitely organize this swap again! It was great fun!

Altered bottle caps + new ATC's

For a long time I have been interested in altered items, especially altered bottle caps! Now finally I had a go myself:

When I send out a swap on for example swap-bot I like to treat my swap partners with something extra :) So, for my first 2 altered bottle caps I decided to make my partners a modified bottle cap with the first letter of their name on :) The letters were made in clay and incorporated into the bottle cap + some furnishings. The left one is a key hanger and the right one is magnetic.

Then I decided to make some earrings for myself:

The idea I had was that the bottle caps should be exchangeable. So, the bit that goes trough your ear is attached to one of those typical bracelet locks which you can than lock onto your bottle cap. So whenever you want you can take off the cap and put another one on it. I am very happy with the outcome. I first thought that they would be to big for being earrings, however, they do look wonderful so I will wear them tomorrow :) and make some more :) So; to be continued!
